Journeys Children's Ministries

Journeys is the name of our children's ministry which spans birth to 5th grade. The mission of Journeys is to begin the foundation of an adventure with God in the lives of children. Through our different ministry environments children are taught to make solid life choices, build lasting friendships, and trust God through study of the Bible. We have even designed and decorated the Journeys wing to creatively engage children, and support the drama, songs and activities that are used throughout the program. We believe parents are the primary influence on a child's spiritual growth. So we partner with parents to meet the spiritual needs of children, and together, we can have a powerful, life-changing impact on our kids.

Sunday Morning Journeys

Each week Journeys provides a safe environment where children can enjoy great learning and loving relationships from birth through 5th grade. In Journeys, we believe that learning should be fun, so we have great dramas, songs and activities. This results in Bible lessons that are age-appropriate, interactive and relevant to today's children. You and your children are invited to visit Journeys during any weekend service, where you will experience our commitment to working with every family in laying a spiritual foundation children can build their lives on. Each week, kids in Journeys are given the opportunity to grow spiritually and relationally each week with the same small group and the same small-group leaders. Kids in Journeys build lasting friendships with each other and with leaders, friendships where they can feel comfortable talking about the real issues and problems kids face everyday.

Serving in Journeys

Journeys Children's Ministry is a place where you have the opportunity to receive more than you give, to make a difference in the life of a child, to experience community by serving, and to have fun! From greeting parents and checking in kids once a month to holding a baby or teaching an elementary age child about God twice a month, no matter what your skills or time limits, there is a place for you in Journeys!

Stay on Track Summer Tutoring

Did you know a child can lose up to half a year's learning in a single summer away from school?...

....that's in reading comprehension alone. In fact, studies show that a 5th grade student entering 6th grade may have lost up to two years of learning.

We'd like to combat that summer learning loss, so this summer, we're teaming up with certified teachers to offer FREE tutoring for elementary aged children. Whether your child struggles in a particular subject, such as reading, writing, or math, or you'd just like them to "stay on track" for the coming school year, we'll play games and do fun educational activities to fit his or her needs.

Adventure Camp

Adventure Camp is August 4th - 6thth, 9:00am - Noon. The theme for this years Adventure Camp is "Surf'n Safari", a beach themed adventure of 1 Corinithians 16:13-14. Email tim@bethanyboulder.org for a registration form.
